Seminars for EN 12101

Keraplast has organized several seminars past year in Baltic countries, Russia and Finland for new demands of smoke exhaust system. Topic has been a new publication by Finnish Association of Civil Engineers “Design, installation and maintenance of Smoke Exhaust Systems”. This publication is firs of a kind and it covers all parts of standard EN 12101-2. Demand from engineering companies and fire authorities has been so great for this subject that we shall organize several more during year 2008.

New RT datasheet

Second stage of EN 12101-2 testing for smoke ventilators is now completed, and new range of certified ventilators may me CE marked. On April 2008 was published our first RT datasheet for large scale of EN certified ventilators; link to datasheet is under “Documentation” on this web site. Keraplast is now paying special attention for service and maintenance of complete smoke exhaust system to keep it in accordance it was designed. Annual fire inspection goes smooth when maintenance contract is well prepared with licensed service company. Keraplast made contract to supply smoke ventilators to new car plant GM Opel Automobile Factory (Blue Ocean Project) in St.Petersburg, Russia. As fire load is remarkable in most parts of factory, traditional plastic dome skylights did not fulfil demand, and Ori 51/HT Glass was chosen. Main contractor is Enka Construction & Industry Co. Inc., and completion shall take place September 2008.
